After a year playing in Japan, Flier showed her desire to be closer to home: “I did not want to stay another year so far. Azerbaijan is not neighbor, but is much closer. I do not have to travel, just for games of Champions. Of course I am going to earn well, but my decision was not just money. If so, I would go to Russia or something. ”

Another factor that weighed Flier was to get closer to the boyfriend, the beach volleyball player Reider Nummerdor and of course the presence of teammate Caroline Wensink.
